Nest step finished : the belt!

Made of two part of 2,5mm vegetable leather. The first where bordered and then painted with gold. The second part is stamped, dyed with anis and then darkened with green and black and finally riveted.

THe buckle is a celtic brass of 3,8cm large.

Took around four hours to make. With that, the first part of the outfit is finished!

Cela m'a pris environ 4 heures à faire.

This is exceptionally beautiful to me. i would love to buy a copy of that one if you make more, i remember our chat regarding blowing horns, know that i have just put that conversation on a 'pause' to resume in the future because i am still interested into having one in my collection!. :)

I can make a copy of it, since it is a special design I made for myself, you will be sure to have a totaly original belt.

Of course, a belt like this one has his price. Counting working time, the brass buckle and the leather, we are at 80 to 85 euros (depending on the size).

Then you got yourself a deal! if it's ok to you then i will have your answer stored and i will pick up the conversation again in the future for when The Hobbit closes into premiere here in Norway, i would totally love to dress out you see and this belt i would be honoured to wear as a part of that. i see, personal taste yes? what if i said you could make it a little bit shorter so that the end of the belt will not hang loosely and thus in the way for movements, that would make sure yours is unique again? 80 euros is a sound price to me, i hope it will stay that way until the day comes. :)

I will make it at your size.

I made mine deliberately longer because, if I ever need one day to were it on a chainmail or somethin like that, I will need extra length xD.

The price should not change, unless (of course), that the price of buckle increase (leather should not).

Great news! i now wish to hire you to make me a copy of the belt immediately as well as a blowing horn (Belive me it would feel awesome to drink from one as well but i very rarely drink 'firewater' so it would do me little good) one thing i wish you to promise me however is that the blowing horn will make a respectable sound when being blown, because i know they can sound like a vuvuzela and that would be embarrasing (i also know they sound best from at distance)

That's cool! Thanks you for ordering at the workshop of Akinra :).

All the three great blow horn are still available and make a remarquable sound, something like the rohan horn when they attack the mordor army in front of the city of minas tirith.

I will need your waist size for the belt (or where you usualy wear the belt). I will make it in the next days!

83cm is me waist, make sure the belt can be adjusted for somewhat above as well as beneath that so no 'accidents' will happen in the making. i thought about wearing the belt around me stomach anyway so it will be a bit lesser than that but waist will do when not dressing up for the Hobbit movie to arrive the cinema! :)

As for the blowing horn, i was hoping for something more custom work. brass details like the one i talked about in the past, the one that was both drinking and blowing that got a Daily Deviant frontpage? i would very much like something familiar but just for blowing. i don't want a copy but something that is an equal in beauty, might and with graceful sound.

You absolutely want brass plate? I ask because I can do something out of leather that can be his equal. Just see the belt :)

I don't see a lot of handmade belts.
This is a lovely design, and looks very nicely made. I don't suppose you do ever sell anything more detailed like this in your shop?

This one is for myself and I don't think that I will make something like it on my own initiative... Just because it will cost too much. A belt like this one would cost around 80 euros (around 105$). I think it is worth it but in this case, if someone is ready to spend this money in a very detailed belt, I prefer to do it on order, as a custom order.

So yes, I can sell something as detailed as this one, but only on order.

Tools and tricks. It took me a lot of time to make my arm armor. When doing it, I found some trick to work a lot faster.
